AMROHA, UTTAR PRADESH: Over 100 monkeys died in the last week at Dabarsi village in Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha district.
COMMENTSPreliminary reports suggest that the monkeys were poisoned. However, the residents of the village alleged that the monkeys died after they consumed ‘chowmein chutney’.
The forest department are conducting an investigation into the matter. The actual cause of death will be clear after the post-moterm reports are obtained.
