Over 100 held in Gurgaon for disturbing public peace

Gurgaon, Sep 27 (IANS) Over 100 people, including 21 women, have been arrested here for disturbing public peace, police said on Sunday, adding that most of them were in an inebriated condition.

A special squad of Haryana Police arrested the people from Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.

The arrested are between 20 and 30 years of age, Dharna Yadav, who heads the anti-eve teasing squad, told IANS.

Gurgaon police chief Navdeep Singh Virk said similar exercise would be carried on Sunday too.
