OUTA asks TJAC to withdraw support to TRS

(NSS): Osmania University Teachers’ Association (OUTA) has demanded that the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee withdraw its decision of support the Telangana Rashtra Samiti in Parakala by-election.

Speaking to media persons here on Wednesday, OUTA president Battu Satyanarayana said that no Professor from the OU conducted any survey on Parakala by-election. He alleged that the TPJAC was deceiving the people of the region in the name of Osmania University Professors report. The TPJAC chairman Prof. Kodandaram was trying to split the JAC by supporting one party in the by-election, he said and urged the TPJAC to only intensify agitation along with all political, caste, employees and students organizations instead of supporting political parties in the elections.

Satyanarayana appealed to the TPJAC to remain neutral and not extend support to any political party like in the Mahbubnagar Assembly by-election. He made it clear that only a national party could achieve separate Telangana State.

Association vice-presidents Prof. A. Ramulu, Prof. Nirmala Babu Rao, general secretary, Dr B. Manohar, joint secretaries Laxmikanth Rathod and Prof. Laxman were also present. (NSS)
