(Sayeda Iram) Only two days are left, to come result out of 16th loksabha election. Exit and opinion poll hve declared result in the favor of BJP and NDA, but this could not be final result.
In 2004 and 2009 election exits poll were claimed same , but all we know and history is witness that exit poll forecasting were proved false and UPA-1 had formed government as well as UPA2, there is no doubt exit poll forecasting could be prove wrong.
So let we should wait and watch till result declared on 16th May.
In this Loksabha election We have seen enough in forms of politics in the name of religion, politics in the name of development, the art of deceiving for securing votes, assault on Indian culture through the use of abusive language thrown on each other. We have seen the good knelling down in front of the bad. We have seen the strangled voice of good politicians lost amid-st the screaming of the ones who become active only through their voice not through their voice.
It’s still not decided whether a new sun will rise or not but we have seen the light of the dawn. The people have started to demand for the abolition of corruption. Youth have started to show their anger over the misuse of political power. Demand has been raised for voting not for the political parties but for a better India. Now it’s a matter of few days and everything will be clear as day light. Though the word ‘change’ is becoming stronger and stronger, it cannot be yet considered as an established certainty.
But for anything there must be a beginning and at least it seems that we have got one. It should not matter who come to the power. What is necessary is the realization of the necessity of carrying the flag of ‘change’ further forward, the realization of the fact that our responsibility cannot be over with our voting. If we vote for a better India, we have to be mindful of the fact that we have to still act for the materialization of our dreams. Voting is the strongest pillar of democracy no doubt but not the only one.
True democracy demands from us to dream for a better country all through our lives and to act for making the dream true in any possible manner- small or big. One part of our responsibility ends with the voting but the other part of our responsibility begins after that where we have to take care of the fact that the intention (with which we voted) getting fulfilled.
