Heritage Foods Limited today clarified that it is producing only unadulterated milk and milk products, but not using Oxytocin as it was reported.
The company is not using Oxytocin and do not have buffaloes and cows. “We follow all quality tests to maintain NDDB standards, food safety management systems through fully equipped laboratories”, Heritage President Dr M Sambasiva Rao claimed in a press release here on Wednesday.
The Heritage Foods has given clarification in the wake of Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Dr T Rajaiah during a hot debate at Assembly said it was proved that Heritage was using Oxytocin – a detergent. The government will take necessary action against 11 such companies, including Heritage for violating quality and health norms, he said.
Sambasiva Rao also stated they have filed a defamation case which is going on in a court against MLC Jupudi Prabhakar Rao for making similar false allegations.
He further clarified that Kerala Government did not impose a ban on Heritage Milk and its products. Except for a month’s ban on Padmanabha variant, all other variants of Heritage Foods are being sold in Kerala, he stated. (NSS)
