Lucknow: The government of Uttar Pradesh is committed to effective disaster response, said Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath here on Saturday.
Adityanath, who inaugurated State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) headquarters here, said: “My government’s initiative to set up SDRF is a step aimed at making Uttar Pradesh an exemplary state for effective disaster response.”
Adityanath expressed hoped that the SDRF along with the State Disaster Management Authorities (SDMA) would build an effective strategy to face any untoward situation in the state.
“I hope SDMA and SDRF together will build an effective strategy to face any untoward situation in the state,” said Chief Minister Adityanath.
He further congratulated the efforts of government officials and associated departments for making Kumbh Mela-2019 “the first incident-free Kumbh”
“As envisioned, Uttar Pradesh government was successful in making this Kumbh an incident-free Kumbh, thanks to the hard works of all those associated in organising the Mela,” he said.
