Colombo, Aug. 5 : Indian cricket bowling coach Bharat Arun has expressed confidence that the Virat Kohli-led side would dominate the game when they take on hosts Sri Lanka in the three-match Test series beginning tomorrow.
Arun said that his side has pretty young and experienced bowling unit.
“We have done well over the last one year and our goal is to dominate and our goal is to win matches outside the country on a consistent basis and we gonna work pretty hard towards that,” Arun told the media.
“We have worked hard toward this. The conditions are pretty similar to what we have in our country. I think we have the variety in our batting and our bowling to adapt to this conditions .The challenge would be to do it as fast as we can to get the best results,” he added
Arun also added that his side is pretty well equipped to deal with any conditions that we may face.
“We do have the variety in somebody who can move the ball and swing the ball and someone who can extract that extra bounce and..bowler, who can clock 145 plus,” he further said.
The team will play a three-day warm up match from Thursday in Colombo. The first Test will be played in Galle from the 12th. The Second Test, to be played in Colombo, will be the last Test match for Sri Lanka’s veteran batsman-keeper Kumara Sangakkara. (ANI)
