OUJAC demands security for Kodandaram

The Osmania University’s Students Joint Action Committee (OUJAC) on Tuesday demanded that the Central Government provide adequate security to Telangana Political Joint Action Committee (TPJAC) Chairman Prof. M. Kodandaram.

Speaking after taking out a rally of students in the OU premises, OUJAC leaders Doru Ellanna, Mandala Bhaskar, Durgam Bhaskar and Kalyan feared threat to Kodandaram’s life from the TRS Government. They lauded the role played by Kodandaram in uniting all organisations, including students’ unions, to achieve statehood for Telangana. They said four ministers – Kadiyam Srihari, Talasani Srinivas Yadava, P. Mahender Reddy and Tummala Nageshwara Rao, did not play any role in Telangana movement and in fact, they acted like anti-students and anti-Telangana activists. However, they alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao accommodated the “traitors of Telangana” in his cabinet.

The OUJAC leaders alleged that KCR has been using “traitors of Telangana” to defend his failures during the last two years. They demanded that KCR either clarify the role played by four ministers in Telangana movement or sack them from his cabinet. They also urged the Central Government to provide adequate security to Kodandaram. (INN)
