Osmania University Vice-Chancellor Prof. S. Ramachandram today thanked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for allocating Rs 200 crore for conduct of Osmania University Centenary Celebrations in addition to the annual grant of Rs 269.16 crore.
The budgetary allocation would give adequate impetus to the Osmania University in general and to the centenary celebrations in particular, the Vice-Chancellor said. He also thanked Kadiam Srihari, Deputy Chief Minister and Etala Rajender for providing necessary budgetary allocations to the Osmania University. The VC also thanked Dr K. Keshav Rao, Rajya Sabha member for impressing upon the State Government to make the handsome financial allocations to the Osmania University.
The Vice-Chancellor thanked Ranjeeva Acharya, Special Chief Secretary to Government, Education Department for using her good offices and giving valuable suggestions in the preparation of the Budget proposals. (NSS)
