OU Students oppose eligibility criteria for Gurukul Teachers

Tension prevailed in Osmania University today as the students burnt an effigy of the state government alleging that it allotted Gurukula Teacher posts more to women candidates. They expressed anger at the government alleging thatĀ  it has allotted more posts to women candidates and at theĀ  eligible criteria that the candidates who passed in first class in degree, were only eligible for the posts. They demanded the state government to take back its decision immediately. The Nirudyoga JAC also taken up Gurukula Deeksha in front of the Arts College today. The JAC made it clear that they will not stop their fight till the government takes back its decision on eligibility criteria. The unemployed youth also staged dharnas in front of the CM Camp office and TSPSC office today demanding to withdraw the compulsory first class degree for eligibility. (NSS)
