A day after they attacked Swagat Grand Hotel, which they claimed was an unauthorized construction on the Osmania University land, the irate students attacked a petrol bunk on Tuesday.
The unrelenting OU students marched to the petrol bunk and ransacked it. However, the cops foiled their attempt. Several students were arrested in this connection. Meanwhile, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has warned the government of intensifying their agitation if Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao did not give up his plans to gift away Osmania University lands in the name of housing to the poor and the homeless.
It may be mentioned here that on Monday, the ABVP activists staged a bare breasted protest in front of the Arts College. The Telangana students unemployed Joint Action Committee too announced that it would organize a massive public meeting on June 1 and would boycott the Telangana Formation Day festival if KCR decides to give away OU lands.
