Hyderabad, December 17: Demanding immediate withdrawal of criminal cases registered against the students in connection with the Telangana agitation, the Osmania University students’ JAC launched hunger strike before the Cherlapally Central Jail on Thursday.
According to the Jail Superintendent, 11 members of the Osmania University JAC decided to observe hunger strike over their demand. The Jail Superintendent said that the students JAC served a notice to that effect after taking breakfast. In the notice, the JAC said that they would go on hunger strike from 10 am.
