Osmania University Vice-Chancellor Prof. S. Satyanarayana has presented the ONGC cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh to Wangkhem Dinesh Singh and Rs. 60,000 to Munjam Sagar, the toppers of II and I years respectively for scoring the highest marks in M.Sc. Geophysics at the Department of Geophysics, Osmania University.
The ONGC will also give the Gold Medal to the topper W Dinesh Singh later in the year. Prof.V.Sudarshan, OU Science College Principal, Prof.B.Madhusudhan Rao, Chairman, BoS and Dr.B.Veeraiah, Head Dept. of Geophysics, OU were present on the occasion.
Last year Osmania University has inked a MoU with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), New Delhi to strengthen industry – academic linkage by instituting ONGC Gold medal in the Department of Geophysics. (INN)
