Hyderabad, July 12: The Telangana Praja Front president and popular balladeer, Mr Gaddar, on Tuesday approached the State Human Rights Commission pleading it to direct the police to allow the Telangana activists into the Osmania University campus to express solidarity with the fasting students.
In a petition submitted to the Commission, Mr Gaddar has stated that the students of the Osmania University began mass hunger strike on the campus demanding that the Centre carve out separate Telangana State and deletion of Clause 14-F from the Presidential Order.
Complaining that the police forces deployed near the campus were not allowing the political leaders and people to express solidarity with the fasting students, Mr Gaddar urged the Commission to pass orders directing the City Police Commissioner to allow Telangana activists and others to enter into the campus.
Meanwhile, the mass hunger strike undertaken by the students entered second day on Tuesday, the police personnel were not allowing anybody to enter into the campus on pretext of maintaining law and order.
