A group of Osmania University students on Sunday met the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central zone) V B Kamalasan Reddy and demanded the arrest of Seemandhra supporters responsible for the attack on students at Nizam College Hostel yesterday.
The students submitted a memorandum to the DCP, demanding immediate arrest of those responsible for the attack on students belonging to Telangana.
In Nizamabad, the former APCC president and senior Congress leader D Srinivas condemned the attack on Telangana students at Nizam College hostel by Seemandhra supporters and also the beating up of a constable for raising slogans in favour of Telangana at the L B Stadium where “Save Andhra Pradesh” meeting was organised by AP NGOs yesterday.
Rasta Roko
Is it proper on the part of Seemandhra supporters who wanted to live together, the senior Congress leader asked.
Meanwhile, Condemning the attack on the police constable, Telangana supporters organized a “ rasta Roko” between Siddipet-Mustabad in Medak district. The agitators demanded action against the colleagues of Srinivas Goud and Seemandhra supporters who were involved in attack on the latter.( NSS)
