Based on the recommendations of the UGC Expert Committee, the University Grants Commission has granted further accreditation to the Osmania University, for conducting State Eligibility Test (SET) examinations for Andhra Pradesh during the next three years in 27 various subjects related to Sciences, Arts and Humanities.
In a letter to the Osmania University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. S Satyanarayana, University Grants Commission expressed overall satisfaction over the smooth and successful conduct of last year SET examination by Osmania University.
Usually UGC grants accreditation for one year but it is a rare distinction that Osmania University is given accreditation for the next three consecutive years starting from June, 2013. Osmania University intends to conduct this year SET Examination in August, 2013. (INN)
