Hyderabad: Centenary Celebrations of Osmania University will start on 26th April 2017 which would continue for a year. Prof. H. Venkateshwarlu, Special Officer of Centenary Celebrations and Dr. Ravi Kumar, coordinator called on Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily and apprised him of the preparations. Osmania University desires to elicit information from the persons associated with its functioning and history. There is also a proposal to invite the members of Nizam’s family. They sought the cooperation of Siasat Urdu Daily.
Mr. Zahid Ali Khan told that Osmania University is a heritage of Hyderabad. He assured that Siasat Urdu Daily would extend its cooperation for the successful conduct of centenary celebrations.
Prof. Venkateshwarlu told that the inaugural function of Osmania University Centenary Celebrations will be held on 26th April 2017. The conference of all the VCs of the country would be held on 27th April. On 28th April, India International Science Fair would be organized for which Central Govt. has given its approval. The members of the Centenary Celebrations Committee of Osmania University would meet the CM to request him to release the brochure and log of the celebrations.
Preparations for Centenary Celebrations are in progress under the stewardship of Mr. K. Sri Hari, Dy. CM and Minister for Education. 30 sub-committees have been constituted for carrying out various programs. Advisor of the Govt., Mr. Papa Rao and Dr. K. Kehshava Rao, MP of Rajya Sahba are also extending their cooperation in this regard. Mr. Shaik Faheemullah, Research Scholar of Urdu Dept. was also present on this occasion.
