Hyderabad: According to the recent UK-based Times Higher Education Rankings, the Osmania University featured in top 1000 universities of the world.
According to the news reported in the Telangana Today, the university ranking was placed between 800 and 1000 ranks.
Also, the university was ranked between 250 and 300 ranks in the Asia University Rankings.
With respect to the best universities in Indian category, Osmania university was ranked 18th in higher education.
In the UK-based Times Higher Education Rankings, the Osmania university scored 33.9 score in teaching, 8.4 in research, 14.5 in citations, 32.0 in industry income and 15.1 in international
outlook.
When compared to the last year rankings, the Osmania University is placed in the same position with different scores in different categories. This year scores in teaching, citations and international outlook have increased, while research and industry income decreased. These scores reflected the problem of research funding by the major funding agencies.
