Osmania General hospital in dilapidated Condition: Raja Singh

Hyderabad: BJP floor Leader Raja Singh on Sunday tried to corner the State government in the House by raising several public problems, which did not find any mention in the Governor’s speech.

Noting that the historic Osmania General Hospital was in a dilapidated condition, Raja Singh wanted to know as to what happened to the promise of the Chief Minister to renovate it. He also said the situation was so serious in the hospital that the doctors could not work unless they wear helmets in the hospital.

He made these remarks while taking part in the discussion on thanksgiving motion moved by the State government in the House. On the occasion, Singh wanted to know the total number of surgeries performed by the State government under Kanti Velugu program so far while noting that the objectives of the scheme are good.

Commenting on the law and order situation in the State, the BJP floor leader asked the State government to reveal the status of the sensational drugs consumption. He also demanded that the State government inform the House about the steps initiated by it to stop cricket betting in the State. Taking indirect jibe at his political rival MIM party for joining hands with the ruling TRS party, he said former chief minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy taught a good lesson for opportunist politicians during his rule.
