Bhubaneswar, July 31: Orissa Saturday launched an online service to address the grievances of its citizens, an official said.
The web-based grievance redressal and monitoring system, named e-Abhiyoga, was launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik here in the presence of state officials, said a senior official of the Chief Minister Office.
‘Orissa is the second state in the country after Haryana to provide citizens such a facility,’ he told IANS.
The state government launched the website, www.cmgcorissa.gov.in, where any citizen can register his or her complaint from anywhere in the world, he said.
Presently, people are submitting their grievances to various departments by visiting the place personally or using the postal system which is time consuming. The web based application is a new beginning to facilitate speedy redressal of grievances, the official said.
The e-Abhiyoga has a variety of features. It facilitates online transfer of grievance to concerned departments. Senior officials can monitor the process on a real time basis for speedy redressal, he said.
A citizen can also track the status of his or her complaint any time he wants from anywhere using the new system, he said.
