Hyderabad: Educational institutions should abreast themselves with the modern demands since it may not be appropriate to overlook the modern trends. Every attempt would be made to link the pass outs of Deeni Madrasas to modern education. These thoughts were expressed by Dr. Mohammed Aslam Parvaiz, Vice Chancellor of MANUU. He was inaugurating 10-day training program on “Modern demands and the role of Madrasa Education” yesterday at MANUU. Center for Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teachers of MANUU organized this 10-day orientation program in collaboration with National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language, New Delhi.
Delivering the keynote address, Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rehmani told that there is no restriction on getting modern education and making use of available resources but the condition is that modern education should be utilized for positive task. He also told that Islam made an attempt to adopt education and resources according to the needs of the time.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr. Irteza Kareem, Director, National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language, highlighted the details of the orientation program. He said that NCPUL has been working for promotion of Urdu Language and Literature. He also informed that there is a large number of Deeni Madrasas in India which is concentrating on traditional education. It is the responsibility of NCPUL to abreast them with the modern knowledge and arts. It is essential for the Deeni Madrasas of modern times that they should be aware of the present issues and make use of the resources available to find out solutions to such issues. This 10-day orientation program is an attempt in this direction. A large number of staff and students of MANUU attended the inaugural function which was held at the CPDUMT Auditorium of MANUU yesterday.
Earlier, Prof. Khatija Begum, Director of CPDUMT welcomed the guests. Prof. Mahmood Siddiqui conducted the meeting. Dr. Misbahul Anzar proposed vote of thanks.
