Organized movement essential to fight injustices against Muslims- Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan

Telangana Muslim Joint Action Committee organized a Round Table Conference on “Hyderabad is ours-its civilization is ours-How can it be yours?” at M.P. Garden in Mehdipatnam yesterday. Addressing on this occasion Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali told that Reddy and Kamma communities which constitute 4% of the total population usurped the Wakf lands of the Muslims in Hyderabad and they are enjoying its benefits whereas the real owners of these lands are suffering. They are forced to lead distressed life.

Mr. Mushtaq Malik, Chairman of Muslim Joint Action Committee presided over the conference. Hafiz Khalid Ali Khan recited Quranic verses. Prof. Kodandaram, Chairman of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee, Mr. Srinivas Goud, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Mr. Dilip Kumar, Dr. Vinay Kumar, Mr. Mohammed Azharuddin, Dr. Islamuddin Mujahid, Dr. Chiranjivee, Thakur Hrudaynath Singh, Bishop David Shantaram, Mr. N. Narasimha Reddy, Mr. Raheemullah Khan Niyazi, Mr. Alauddin Ansari, Advocate, Prof. Mohammmed Ansari and others addressed the gathering.

Continuing his speech, Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan told that Lanco Hills, GMR, GVK and other commercial institutions targeted Wakf lands by illegally acquiring them. He further told that the restoration of these wakf lands is enough for the welfare of Muslims. He pointed out that State Govt. owes Rs. 1.12 lakh crore to World Bank which it has to repay in 2014. The opponents of Telangana are hatching conspiracies to transfer this loan to the proposed Telangana State. Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan stressed the need to formulate a organized movement to fight injustices against the Muslims.

Mr. Mushtaq Malik, in his presidential address told that the development of Hyderabad owes to the efforts of Qutub Shahi and Asif Jahi Kings. He told that creating hurdles for the formation of separate Telangana State is unbearable to Muslims. Prof. Kodamdaram told that Sri Krishna Committee Report is not acceptable to the people of Telangana but the Hyderabad chapter of this report is worth reading wherein the development of Hyderabad has been ascribed to the efforts of Asif Jahi Kings. He advised the Seema Andhra capitalists to read this capter.

Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, MLC told that the opponents of Telangana are trying to stop the process of formation of Separate Telangana State, against which the unity of the supporters of Telangana is essential. Mr. Dilip Kumar, MLC told that the decision on Telangana has already been taken. Congress Party is declaring it as political decision and it is trying to capture Seema Andhra seats by propagating this wrong notion.

Muslim JAC passed three resolutions in the conference and demanded the police commission and DGP not to allow YSRCP to convene a protest meeting against the formation of Telangana State in the Hyderabad. In the second resolution, it was stated that Hyderabad is a part of Telangana and the proposals to declare it a union territory or to retain it as the common capital of both the State is not acceptable. In the third resolution a demand was made to the Central Govt. to pass Telangana bill in the next session of the Parliament to remove the unrest among the four crore people of Telangana region. A calendar was also issued in the conference depicting the developments undertaken by Qutub Shahi and Asif Jahi periods.
