Abu Dhabi, Aug. 16 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is presently on a two-day trip to the gulf nation, said he is confident that this visit would boost the relationship between both nations.
“Hello UAE. I am very optimistic about this visit. I am confident the outcomes of the visit will boost India-UAE ties,” the Prime Minister said on Twitter.
“I deeply appreciate kind gesture of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who received me at the airport,” he added.
There was a ceremonial greeting for Prime Minister Modi upon his arrival at the Abu Dhabi Presidential Airport. He was received by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan,the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi.
Prime Minister Modi then met with the UAE dignitaries and exchanged pleasantries with them.
This is the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to the gulf nation in 34 years. (ANI)
