New Delhi: After a show of unity in Karnataka by the opposition, BJP’s defeat is almost confirmed in Kairana Lok Sabha by-elections which will be held on Monday. Though the BJP which has faced shameful defeat in Phulpur and Gorakhpur Lok Sabha by-elections, has put all efforts for Kairana, BJP’s strategy seems to fail before opposition unity. Kairana election is a great challenge not only for the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath but also for BJP president Amit Shah, as the seat fell vacant after the death of BJP MP Hukum Singh and now his daughter has been fielded. Hence if BJP faces defeat it will effect 2019 General Elections.
48-year-old, Begum Tabassum Hasan the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) candidate is backed by several opposition parties including Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party, the Congress and Nishad Party, against the BJP. Moreover dropping of Kanwar Hasan from the race has increased BJP’s troubles. Kanwar Hasan would have divided the Muslim votes announced that he was with Tabassum Hasan.
