Opposition third grade politics on Bathukamma sarees: KTR

IT Minister KT Rama Rao today lashed out at the opposition parties like Congress and Telugu Desam for indulging in third grade politics and creating rcukus at the Bathukamma sarees distribution program. He fumed at the opposition for carrying out misinformation campaign through social media to tarnish the image of the government on sarees scheme he charged.

 

Addressing a press conference at Secretariat after his return from Siricilla, KTR slammed the Opposition parties are unale to digest the good programs and mud slinging on every scheme. They hatched a plan to sabotage the sarees scheme and created pandemonium at several places he fumed. The poor women are happy at the sarees and quality however there are some incidents of protests which are the handiwork of the opposition. Instead of bringing to the notice of the government the opposition is spreading panic among women through social media KTR objected.

Those who do not like should not take sarees which are the facade of goddess Lakshmi he said. The government launched the scheme with whole heart and sarees are for self respect which cannot be compared to its cost. On first day we have distributed 25 lakhs of sarees out of 1.04 cr sarees and the rest will be distributed among the women in two days. He said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has started the sarees program just like big brother. The previous government did not have such an idea to give sarees to the women who are our sister he said. (NSS)
