Opposition takes a shot at BJP-led Modi govt for attack on Muslim family

NEW DELHI: Opposition leaders on Saturday took a shot at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government for the alleged attack on Muslim family, which left 12 of a family injured in Gurugram’s Bhondsi on Thursday.

Congress veteran Ghulam Nabi Azad lashed out and accused the BJP of creating an environment of “hatred.”

“Every patriotic Indian is disgusted by the video of a family in Gurugram being mercilessly beaten by hooligans. The RSS/BJP channelises bigotry and hatred for political power. This incident serves as a warning of the dangerous consequences and the dark side of that strategy,” Congress president Rahul Gandhi tweeted.

Hitler ke gunde logo to pitte the, unka khoon karte the aur police jinhe mara, unhi ke khilaaf case karti thi (Hitler also used to do this for power. Hitler’s goons used to beat up people, kill them, and police registered cases against those who were assaulted).”

On the eve of Holi, a mob of 20-25 men allegedly barged into the home of a Muslim family in Dhamaspur village and raising “Go to Pakistan”, slogans, the mob beaten up the members with sticks and rods.
