Hyderabad, August 21: The main Opposition TDP and its friendly parties CPI and CPM have decided to stall the Question Hour in the Assembly tomorrow to seek answers from the Government on the prevailing drought situation in the State.
They alleged that the Chief Minister was unable to give proper reply in the House on drought discussion today. The Opposition parties have decided to stage a protest rally tomorrow from Ambedkar statue to the Assembly.
The Opposition parties staged a dharna for two hours near the Speaker’s podium alleging that the House was adjourned abruptly. Later, they staged a dharna at the entrance in the Assembly.
Opposition leader N Chandrababu Naidu alleged that after several days of discussion, the Government failed to give a proper reply. CPI leader G Mallesh took strong objection to abrupt adjournment of the House. CPM MLA J Rangareddy demanded the State Government to declare State as drought-hit and try to get additional funds from the Centre to tackle the situation.
