Opposition slams State for its delaying ‘T’ employees’ salaries

The Bharatiya Janata Party, Left parties and Lok Satta on Monday slammed the state government for not honouring its promises made with the Telangana employees during the general strike period.

Talking to media persons at Assembly media point, BJP state president G Kishan Reddy demanded the government take steps to fulfill all the promises made with employees related to increment, promotions, retirement benefits and death benefits. He said demanded scrapping of GO 177 on ‘No Work No Pay’ rule. At least now the government should take steps to adjust the salary of employees against their leaves.

Stating that the government was afraid of constituting a House Committee to look into the implementation of GO 610, he demanded that a House panel be constituted to study the issue.

Communist Party of India Floor Leader G Mallesh asked as to why the government was resorting to delaying tactics in fulfilling the promises of Telangana employees. He alleged that the Chief Minister was running away from his responsibilities in resolving the Telangana employees’ problems.

CPI (M) floor leader Julakanti Ranga Reddy and Lok Satta president Jayaprakash Narayan also criticised the government for not resolving the problems of Telangana employees.
