Hyderabad: Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy today criticized the Opposition parties for doing politics on Intermediate examination results.
Talking to mediapersons at Suryapet today, the minister accused the Congress and BJP leaders of indulging in politics on Intermediate results. “There was no need for doubts and confusion in this regard. The political parties should not use the issue of the Inter results for political gain”, he suggested. He also accused the political parties of carrying out misinformation campaigning on the issue. He appealed to the students as well as their parents to avoid doubts on the results. The State government has appointed an expert on the alleged lapses and will take action on getting report, Jagadish Reddy said, adding some technical and internal issues led to the problems.
The minister said they will take action against Global Arena agency if there are any technical issues with regard to disparity of marks. The government will take action against the staff if any human error was proved in the alleged disparity in the Inter results, he maintained. The government will take steps to ensure that those suffered loss will be done justice he promised, he said, adding that stern action will be taken against the erring staff, who were involved in disparity of marks.
The minister said there is still time for payment of fees for advanced supplementary examinations till April 27 and the things will be set right on time. The students will not sustain loss or get injustice as the government will address the problem. Those who have doubts on the exam papers can apply for revaluation or recounting, he added. Compared to last year, the board received less number of papers for verification, he said. He also informed that some 4,400 applications came for revaluation and 800 for recounting of the examination papers.
