New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Giriraj Singh on Thursday said that opposition parties being led by the Congress Party appeared to be in a state of panic ahead of the assembly polls in Bihar.
He said their demand for a ban of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ seemed to suggest that they had no other issue to discuss or highlight in the nation’s interest.
“Congress has no other issue to raise. And, from day the PM has started the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme, it has become the “Dil ki Baat’ of the nation, and the Congress is panicking. And, it has nothing to do with the Bihar elections. It is just their restlessness,” Singh said.
The Congress Party had approached the Election Commission on Wednesday with a demand for imposing a ban on the broadcast of the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme this Sunday, citing the Model Code of Conduct that is presently in place for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, as the reason. (ANI)
