Opposition of Madarsa Board is not appropriate

A consultative meeting of Madarsa Board was held at Khankha-e-Murshada at Husaini Alam under the chairmanship of Maulana Syed Darwesh Mohiuddin Quadri Murtuza Pasha. Mr. Abid Rasool Khan, Chairman, A.P. State Minorities Commission attended the meeting as a special guest. More than 150 directors of various Deeni Madarsas and Schloars participated in the meeting. State Govt. proposes to establish a Madarsa Board which will eradicate the haphazardness of Deeni Madarsa and it will provide an opportunity for their students to get degrees recognize by the Govt. This proposal is, there for appreciable. The meeting started with the recitation of Quaranic verses by Maulana Abul Hasan Rizvi and Naath by Maulana Mohd Khaleel Ullah Quraishi.

Mr. Abid Rasool Khan Clarified that Madarasa Board is not compulsory for every Madarasa. Those who want to join it are most welcome. It is not possible to take a decision in one sitting. Many such meetings have to be convened. If there were any thing objectionable, he would represent the matter to C.M. for deleting it.

Mufti Naseem Ahmed Ashrafi told that there are hundreds of Deeni Madarasas in the country for which donations are being received from foreign countries but there is not a single incident wherein the Govt. interferes in the affairs of these Madarasas. In such a case, there is no need for suspicions. Article 29 of Constitution of India makes a provision for establishing Deeni Madarasas in which Govt. cannot interfere. The managements of Deeni Madarasas should be capable of defending the Govt. if it interferes in there affairs. Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Quadri of Jama Nizamia told that the establishment of Madarasa Board is better for the Muslim but there should not any interference in our Islamic affairs. Dr. Syed Jahangir, Prof. And Head of Dept. of Arabic of English and Foreign Languages University, Maulana Syed Khizar Pasha Quadri also addressed the gathering. Maulana Syed Darwesh Mohiuddin Quadri Murtuza Pasha told that there is a need for unified struggle for the establishment of Madarasa Board. It is the responsibility of the Islamic Scholars to follow the methods of their ancestors. He further told that opposing the establishment of Madarasa Board is inappropriate. Govt. of Bihar and U.P. have established Madarasa Boards through which Islamic Ulemas are being benefited for the past 20 years. A large number of Muslim Scholars participated in the meeting.
