New Delhi: Indian Army has invited applications from unmarried male and unmarried female Engineering Graduates for the grant of Short Service Commission (SSC). Widow of Defence Personnel can also apply. The interested candidates should be an Engineer or in the final year of the Engineering Course. Candidates who are in the final year should submit a proof that they will become an engineer by 1st April 2019. Such candidates have to submit Engineering Degree Certificate within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of the training.
Candidates who are applying for SSCW (non-tech) (Non-UPSC) should be graduate in any discipline. Applicants should also fulfil the physical standards (height and weight).
As per the notification, duration of training is 49 weeks. During the training period, candidates will not be allowed to marry.
