Oppn crying foul on KG to PG: Srihari

Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today slammed the Opposition parties for making a hue and cry on “KG-to-PG” education program of the TRS government. A policy was being formulated to implement the education program in a fool proof manner, he added.

Participating in program to award prizes to meritorious students of SSC and Intermediate organized by Learn to Live Foundation here along with Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy, the Education Minister said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was keen on introducing this scheme to enable the poor develop through education from KG to PG. Srihari said the scheme is taking proper shape to surpass all private and corporate educational institutions. The scheme will offer quality education to the children. A brainchild of the Chief Minister, the KG-to-PG scheme is being prepared in consultation with intellectuals and experts in the subjects, Srihari asserted.

Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy, who was also present, said the KG to PG education scheme will soon take a final shape. “This will surely prove beneficial to poor children to prosecute higher education with total quality and high standards to surpass even corporate institutions. He also said the TRS Government is coming up with many schemes for the benefit of the poor and welfare of the State. He exuded confidence that the KG to PG education scheme will yield better results by offering best education to the poor. (NSS)
