AICC General secretary and incharge Andhra Pradesh affairs Dig Vijay Singh assured former state Minority Welfare minister Mohammed Ali Shabbir that Congress president Sonia Gandhi is in favour of formation of Telangana state comprising of 10 districts. However the opinion of the people of the three regions is sought over the proposal of Rayal-Telangana.
MLC Mohammed Ali Shabbir called on Dig Vijay Singh along with another party leader and AICC member Vidya Sagar Rao and sought details of the current situation. He told that formation of new state according to the resolution passed by the Congress Working Committee will be in the interest of Congress party.
