Mandatory SkillSet:Any of below 3:
1) Knowledge on CommVault/Veritas backup environment & Tape librarieso Should have hands on experience in Commvault administration.o Provide Technical Support for Projects and Strategic Backup Initiatives o Provide Backup and Recovery of Servers & Data bases o Support and Administer Backups software (Like CommVault, Net Backup, DPM etc.) o Install, Setup Operating System and Backup Applications o Participate with Incident Management process and troubleshooting problemso Have good knowledge on supporting tape library issueso Handling HP D6000 storage controller issueso Knowledge on FC cabling and resolving its connectivity issues
2) Knowledge on IBM TS3500 tape library or any relevant tape librarieso Hands on in remote handling IBM TS3500 library configuration and issueso Working on IBM TS3500 using CLIo troubleshoot issues using remote console and identify hardware problemso Working with vendor to troubleshoot issues
3) Knowledge on DPM backup environmento Hands on experience in handling DPM (Data Protection Manager) environmento Follow instructions for installing DPM and Central Console, upgrading, repairing, and uninstallingo Deploy storage, the DPM protection agent, and set up protection for computers, servers, and workloadso Set up DPM monitoring, administer and manage DPM servers and Central Console, set up recovery for protected workloads.o Troubleshoot DPM errors and issues.o Troubleshooting DPM issues using Cmdlets
Good communication skillsExcellent in investigating critical production issuesAbility to handle shift even in heavy load situation
Additional skillset:o Knowledge on SQL queries (To query database) & Power shell
