Opening For Vice President – Human Resource – Manufacturing

Job Description:

– Provide HR support for PCH or BU Heads to collectively deliver business results

– Drive existing HR programs & initiate additional programs to ensure talent development, retention, performance enhancement and employee engagement

– Work in tandem with IR colleagues and other stake-holders in innovatively addressing HR & IR issues

Strategic Roles :

– Align HR’s functions & tasks with strategic intent of each PCH or BU Head

– Ensure retention and furtherance of organizational culture and values

– Assess manpower-related risks for businesses and develop mitigation plans

Operational Roles :

Manpower Planning, Talent Acquisition :

– Discuss with PCH or BU Head to build a contour of long-term business plans, emerging manpower needs

– Constantly monitor existing and emerging skills gaps, discuss plans for Individual Development or plans for acquisition of outside talent

– Co-own with Business Managers the process for selection, orientation, executive compensation, succession planning and such HR matters

Talent Management :

– Devise programmes along with business to ensure that employees deliver on agreed KRAs (employee engagement, counseling, training and such)

– Review and, as needed, effect amendments to existing PMS to work as a transparent tool to identify performers, training needs, as an objective template to deal with laggards etc; also, ensure that reward / award mechanisms are effective

Plan appropriate OD or T&D interventions : through internal resources or by enlisting external help

– As needed, commission compensation & benefits surveys, and, make a business case for effecting compensation corrections

– Build a plan for succession across key positions to ensure continuity in business performance

Policies :

– Review existing policies and effect corrections as needed; fine-tune such that objectives of policies are achieved

– Review other policies and make them employee-friendly, administration-friendly and contemporary

Tactical Roles :

– Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders like BU Heads, Line Managers

– Monitor and control OpEx of HR

– Preferably 48-to-52 years of age.

– Candidates with past work experience in providing strategic HR support to multiple divisions or business especially in manufacturing domain

– Should have handled HR (and some IR) roles in a company with at least 3,500 employees and at least a Rs 4,500 Crores turnover
