Job Description:
– Assist the Resident Engineer administering the contract and manage the contractor
– Oversee the Site Architects’ duties
– Review of and comment on Contractor’s submittals for the architecture and other relevant information (shop drawing/ materials/ method statement / QAQC/ tech information) to ensure compliance with the architectural design intent, contract specifications, and drawings.
– Carry out regular site inspections and monitor the works for the architectural information.
– Report on deficiency corrections on site in relation to the architecture.
– Comment on any other deficiencies noticed at site.
– Maintain/ monitor Site QA/ QC procedures for the architecture.
– Carry out review of architectural submittals and ensure compliance with contract specifications / requirements, design intent, and drawings.
– Mark-up the design/ site changes on working drawings for the architectural information.
– Liaise with other disciplines for co-ordination issues and attend technical meetings/ discussions to resolve as issue arises in relation to the architectural information.
– Inspect the contractors off and on site Mock-ups, tests and quality control samples.
– Review As-Built drawings
– Review Health & Safety and Method Statements by the Contractors
– Contribute and prepare minutes of meetings, progress reports and design co- ordination meetings.
– Prepare Defects/ Snag list and conduct final inspections for the architecture (prior to the issue of Final certificate (TOC) by the Resident Engineer.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have 15 years’ experience of which 2 of those years experience will have been working on projects within the UAE.
Degree in Architecture.
Salary is paying between AED 25 – 32K.
