The Role
A Multinational chemical manufacturer is looking for Product Development Manager for its Karachi site.
The role is to work on the development of pigments, polymers, additives and fillers used in paint, textiles and packaging applications. Responsibilities will include:
Development of water based pigment paste (binder based/free) for paints, textiles and packaging inks
Development of different liquid carriers, dispersing agents, additives and colorants
Development of different polymer additives and fillers
Provide technical assistance and conduct trials of new product at customer site
Establish analytical techniques that support in accurate and speedy color matching
Overcome dispersion and homogenization issues of converters
Establish analytical techniques that help in reverse engineering of competition products
Provide timely technical expertise and value-added product stewardship services and support to internal and/or external customers and their commercial partners, both proactively and in response to requests for support
Establish new techniques for the enhancement of laboratory analytical systems and maintain quality service and scientific support
Discuss and negotiate with suppliers on current and new raw materials for required applications and research out new economical raw material sources
Lead the lab to achieve ISO 17025 accreditation.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates with a Degree or MSc Chemistry and strong knowledge of analytical techniques and Instruments. You will ideally have 3 to 5 years analytical and Industrial R&D experience or association with some reputed Industrial research institute.
