The Position:
The Principal Software Engineer is a critical member of the engineering team and a subject matter expert. The person in this role works on engineering projects to improve the functionality of Pega Rules Process Commander (PRPC), a core offering of the Pegasystems product Suite. The Principal Software Engineer is responsible for designing, building, maintaining and supporting different PRPC releases
In this role, you will:
The Principal Software Engineer is a critical member of an UI Engineering Scrum team and a subject matter expert with in the team. This person plays multiple roles as needed including Developer, Architect, Scrum Master, Support Master etc., and closely interacts with Product Owner. The Principal Software Engineer is majorly responsible for user story design and architecture along with implementation. The person in this role is expected to help and mentor other associates in the team and lead some of the team members as needed. The person is expected to design, develop and maintain high quality technical solutions using technologies such as JavaScript, DHTML, CSS, Java, Web and PRPC Rules.

Qualifications will include :
B.E/B.Tech or equivalent.
6 10 years of development experience preferably in a product development company.
Strong knowledge of Java, JavaScript, DHTML, CSS and Web technologies.
Exposure to some JavaScript libraries like YUI, JQuery, Sencha etc.
Exposure to Client Performance and Cross Browser Issues.
Good Communication skills.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to HTML5, localization and accessibility issues
Exposure to XML based technologies
Exposure to JSON based technologies
