Job Description:
NTS Recruitment are currently working with a leading multi-industry conglomerate in the region who are seeking a Group IT Manager in this exciting role. The successful individual will provide state of the art, Infrastructure Technology Leadership to the business by ensuring that the IT strategy is aligned with the company’s overall strategic objectives and is positioned to meet all business initiatives and challenges adequately.
The role will be varied and will be involved in mmaintaining the organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies, Provide the necessary leadership within IT, its effective internal organization and coordination within the various functional areas of the business, promoting the internal communication with internal clients on IT subjects, Collaborate with the leadership team to identify opportunities for leveraging technology to enhance processes and increase productivity and Providing short and long-range strategic insight in planning, developing, implementing and maintaining technology and data systems. You will also Identify potential areas to create business competitive advantage through the use of technology, Create and conduct regular system audits of technologies implemented, Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures and conduct inventory control and Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements. Furthermore, you will be involved in accomplishing financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action, maintaining quality service by creating, implementing and enforcing organization standards, maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies and be responsible for testing and modifying systems to ensure that that they operate reliably and implement with information security upgrades as required.
Requirements:
To be successful, you will have 10-15 years of experience and a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or IT. You will have strong knowledge of ERP systems, very sound computer skills, a solid understanding of business intelligence and data warehousing, with a web developer background. Arabic speakers or western educated candidates are preferred for this role and should be ideally UAE based. This role is offering in the region of AED 40,000 (plus benefits).
