An OpenText Professional Services Content Server Consultant is responsible for the technical delivery of the CS (Content Server) solution. Such delivery activities encompass the design, development, testing and documentation of specific software components – either providing extensions to specific items of core product functionality or implementing specific system integration components. This role has a heavy development emphasis, combined with the consultative skills required to promote the impression of quality and excellence actively fostered within the Offshore Professional Services team.
Technical Consultants are expected to have the ability to work with a fair degree of autonomy, under the supervision and mentoring of more experienced consultants within the offshore team. It is not uncommon for a sufficiently experienced technical consultant to interact alone with a given customer, and manage appropriate technical customer relationships for the duration of a project.
Engagements may vary from managing multiple short and relatively fast paced engagements, to larger projects depending upon levels of experience
The role is customer facing and requires excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate to a wide range of stake holders (internally and externally), both verbally and in writing. There will be travel to national and international locations, with an expectation for site based management where appropriate.

You are great at:
Work within an OpenText technical delivery team in order to:
Assist in requirements gathering activities.
Participate and contribute to technical design activities.
Participate in the development of custom CS implementation, in line with project and customer time scales.
Participate in the advanced configuration of CS software components, in line with project and customer time scales.
Deliver a range of technical documentation relating to any software components delivered.
Interact with both customer and internal OpenText project stakeholders in order to articulate specific technical options and decisions in a concise and clear manner.
To co-ordinate project delivery through multiple teams that may include 3rd party suppliers, partners and client resources.
Actively seek new opportunities by working with the customer and the change control provisions provided by the contract, to extend the scope of profitable business.
Actively use and contribute to the project management standards and quality checks used within OpenText Professional Services.
Manage expectations and responsibilities for all client and internal stakeholders.
What it takes:
Good experience with following technologies:
Java or C++ or C#
Web applications development.
HTML, client side scripting (like Java script)
XML and related technologies.
SQL queries and DB knowledge.
Windows Server, Solaris, HP UX, Linux (any one)
A good understanding software development lifecycle
Strong interpersonal and people management skills
Contributing to, and writing, detailed technical documentation
Ability to build and manage strong customer relationships, both internal and external
Ability to use own initiative to resolve problems and to obtain relevant information needed to perform a given task
Highly motivated
Good in Communication:
Enjoy working in an international environment
Team player, result driven, ambitious, responsible
Ability and willingness to travel
Enjoys sharing knowledge and communicating
