Job Description:
On behalf of our client a UAE based leading oil and gas drilling company we are looking to recruit a Contract Engineer. Reporting to the Contracts Team Lead you will be responsible for To provide high level of understanding of legal and technical issues in order to resolve disputes and resolve complex commercial issues.
Responsible for high value commercial activities including the tendering procedures, change management, contract preparation, negotiation of terms and conditions and provide practical commercial solutions to any claims or disputes. Advice user departments in relation to contract process management to ensure all commercial activities are carried out in line with the company contracting guidelines. Lead the Contract Team in the preparation of sourcing strategy, tender board memo’s and post contract performance reviews throughout the contracts active lifecycle and be responsible for post award monitoring to ensure compliance with the terms of the contract
Requirements:
The successful candidate must be degree educated in law, have ten years contracts experience in oil and gas operations with drilling experience ( This is essential) Extensive experience in the preparation and negotiation of tenders/contracts of small/medium/large scale projects with complexity and diversity and In depth knowledge and understanding of contract and legal terms
