Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Amit Shah on Friday said the party is open to support from any other political party in forming the next government at the centre after the Lok Sabha elections.
He asserted that the BJP is against political untouchability, and said all parties are welcome to join the NDA for the sake of the development of this country.
Reitirating that NDA will get a comfortable majority, Shah said, “The NDA will get more than 300 seats in these elections. Our prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will be the next Prime Minister.”
He also said that the Election Commission must transfer the District Magistrate of Varanasi if it wants to ensure free and fair polling in the district.
Earlier today, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati had said that her party will not support a Narendra Modi-led government at the centre.
“Modi, in his latest interview, has said that he would seek the support of Mayawati, Jayalalithaa and Mamta Banerjee, if he does not get a majority to form a government. I don’t know about the TMC and the AIADMK, but as far as the BSP is concerned, we will not support Modi,” Mayawati told media. (ANI)
