Open nalas turn death traps for two persons

In separate cases, two persons died after accidentally falling down in open nalas at different places in the city.

In Jeedimetla police, 32-year-old Raju Singh died after falling in an open nala in inebriated condition on Saturday. He was a labourer and resident of Subhash Nagar. Police have retrieved his body from the nala on Sunday morning and shifted the same to Gandhi Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.

In a similar case, the body of Ch Sataiah, 46, was found in an open nala in Tapovan Colony on Saturday evening. Sataiah, an electrician and resident of Lingojiguda of Saroornagar, is suspected to have fell into the nala after having fits. Saroornagar police have registered a case and began investigations. (INN)
