Only TDP can develop Telangana: Babu

Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday claimed that only his party could develop the Telangana State.

Addressing public meetings at different places in Telangana, Naidu listed out the steps which the TDP government took for the development of Telangana region, especially Hyderabad. He asked AICC President Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh to explain what they did for the development in Telangana region in the last 10 years. During his speech at Bodhan of Nizambad district, Naidu promised to supply nine hours uninterrupted power supply for the agriculture sector.

Naidu accused the Congress Government of mishandling the energy sector. He said that during the TDP regime, Andhra Pradesh was a power surplus State. However, power cuts have become the order of the day during Congress rule. He also accused the Congress Govt of copying the TDP’s manifesto and said that he was the first leader to announce waiver of farm loans if voted to power.

Addressing another meeting at Jagitial in Karimnagar district, Naiduu said that the TDP Government had spent Rs 1400 for modernisation of SRSP project and took all measures to protect the interest of Telangana farmers over Babli project issue. He also announced that Jagtial would be made a separate district if TDP is voted to power.

The TDP president shared dais with cine star and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan in a meeting at Kondukuru of Ranga Reddy district. He exhorted the youth to play an active role in the development of Telangana. He said that only TDP can ensure overall development of the Telangana region. (INN)
