Only Separate State Will Turn Telangana Into Greenery: KCR

The TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao has alleged that it was because of the migrant Seemandhra rulers that the Palamuru district turned into a desert despite having abundant water resources.
KCR addressed a party workers’ training camp in Devarakadra of Mahabubnagar district on Sunday. Former MP K Kesava Rao, MP Manda Jagannatham, party leaders Jupalli Krishna Rao and Jitender Reddy also participated in the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, KCR has alleged that though the former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had adopted the Palamuru district and ruled the state for 9 hours, he had not given even 9 rupees for the development of the district.
Stating that Telangana and Palamuru would turn into greenery only when the Telangana state was formed, he said Telangana engineers prepared plans to provide irrigation waters to one lakh acres in each constituency. He said the new government would make this dream a reality after the Telangana state was formed. Pointing out that the Kalwakurti and Nettempadu projects have been pending since decades, he said the projects would never be completed as long as Andhras rule the state. He said as they could not plunder water down stream, they were not showing interest in taking up projects in the Telangana region.
Taking a dig at minister D K Aruna, he said instead of fighting for water here, she went to Rayalaseema and gave Harati to water that was plundered from Telangana. He said if the state was realized, all the projects could be completed to turn Palamuru into a fertile region. He lamented that even the Telangana ministers or the ruling party MLAs were not bothered even when water was taken away downstream before their eyes and when RDS piles were broken to take water to Rayalaseema.
KCR called upon all the children of Telangana to unite and achieve the state, so that all their needs could be met. (NSS)
