Only 5% of the beneficiaries of 108 ambulance service are Muslims

Hyderabad, January 4: Of late 108 ambulance has assumed great importance in the city for medical emergency services. Earlier the 108 ambulance service was carried out by Satyam group but after Satyam group scandal GVK took over the operations from the Satyam group.

1-0-8 Emergency Response Service is a 24X7 emergency service for medical, police and fire emergencies. The service is available for the entire state of Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Assam, Meghalaya and Madhya Pradesh.

In Hyderabad the 108 service is available in Malakpet, Chandrayangutta, LB Nagar, Puranapul, Mehdipatnam, Toli chowki, Jubilee Hills, Kukatpally, ESI, ECIL, Medchal, Kompally, Bowenpally, Secunderabad, Paradise, Tarnaka, Santoshnagar, Ameerpet and Alwal.

All you have to do is to dial 108 from landline or mobile to get access to its service and moreover it is a toll free number. The average response time in urban areas is 15 minutes.
The ambulance is armed with best equipments. The equipments enable to start the treatment before the patient reaches the hospital.

But Muslims do not get considerable benefits from the useful services provided by this ambulance in emergency circumstances, which may be due to lack of knowledge or negligence. According to statistics among the beneficiaries of this service only 5 percent are Muslims.

It’s high time that Muslims should wake up from the deep slumber of carelessness and develop awareness. They should eliminate their backwardness by taking benefits from the government schemes.
