Hyderabad, January 11: A splendid building was constructed in 1999 at Khilwat by Urdu academy. It is built on an area of 3300 sqyds. The expenses incurred during the construction were 80 lakh rupees. The building is vacant since then, save for a computer centre.
A computer training centre is run in a portion of the building since October 2010. Half yearly course of computer software and hardware is offered at the centre.
All over Andhra Pradesh state 85 similar computer centres are run by Urdu academy, of which 15 are in Hyderabad.
The incharge of the said computer centre Moinuddin told that 180 students have taken admission in the said computer centre while there are only 4 computers which come to 1 computer for 45 students. This means that if one computer is used by a candidate for one day then his turn to use computer will come after one and a half month.
It must be recalled that the annual budget for Urdu academy last year was 25 crore 45 lakh rupees of which 3 crore 25 lakh rupees is allotted for computer centres exclusively, where is that whopping amount spent, no body knows.
