In a significant development, the State government plans to offer single window permissions online for film production in the State from Dasara festival. The plan on implementation will prevent the producers from obtaining a number of permissions from several departments that was in vogue so far.
Cinematography Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav has said the State government plans to introduce single window system for production of cinemas against the existing practice of obtaining permissions from several departments. He said this during a review meeting with officials concerned at Secretariat here.
It was discussed in the meeting that the producers are taking a lot of pain and wasting time in the process of getting permissions for films production with the current system of permissions. “To overcome this, we need to take urgent steps to provide online single window permissions from Dasara”, he directed the officials.
In addition to this, the government plans to encourage online ticket booking in all districts and Collectors were asked to take necessary steps, the minister said. Licensing authorities and 437 theatre managements were informed about the online ticketing system and immediate steps should be taken, Srinivas Yadav said.
Stating that the government has accorded permissions for eligibility of small budget films to 100 screens from 35 screens he said that officials should take steps for 5th show in the theatres. He sought steps for housing facility and health services at Chitrapuri colony for cine workers and said to take a decision on 100 acres land at Abdullapurmet and Koheda areas for an international film institute. RTC officials should take steps for mini theaters in bus stands and collectors should find place for mini cultural centers in districts. The minister said that it was proposed to release Rs 8 cr for forthcoming Children Film Festival in Hyderabad from November 8 to 14. (NSS)
