The online fresh registrations for scholarships to students pursuing college courses for the academic year 2012-13 will commence from Sunday.
According to Principal Secretary (Social Welfare Department) J Raymond Peter, the scholarship process has been made fully online by the Social Welfare Department. Under the online system, a student has to enter his SSC Hall Ticket Number to retrieve his record from the SSC data base.
For the academic year 2012-13, students can apply online for fresh scholarships on the e-pass website from October 21 to November 20. All students belonging to SC/ST with family income of les than Rs 2 lakh per annum and the students belonging to BC/EBC/DW/MW with family income of less than Rs 1 lakh per annum are eligible to apply for scholarships.
Students must upload an income certificate obtained from Meeseva centre in addition to their photo and Caste Certificate. All students must also furnish details of ration card and Aadhar Card. They may apply for an Adhaar Card if they do not have and furnish the EID number, according to a press release.
